The Lowback & Bench Rocker, developed by Studio Œ for Vitra, combines the lounge chair’s low, enveloping silhouette with a matching footrest to create an all-out relaxation package. Without headrest, the Lowback adopts more compact proportions while maintaining the generous comfort characteristic of the Bascule collection. Under its padding is concealed an innovative mechanism that automatically reacts to weight changes and accompanies body movements with minimal resistance. The Bascule Lowback & Bench allows you to move naturally from an upright position to a deeply inclined, almost horizontal posture, while the Bench allows you to raise your legs and comfortably extend this position. Inspired by fashion-forward techniques, the textile cover wraps around the structure like a garment and can be removed for cleaning or replacement. The various upholstery elements can also be repaired or replaced if necessary. In this configuration, the armchair is based on a four-pointed aluminum base, which brings a sober and contemporary finish to the whole. The Lowback & Bench combines freedom of movement, comfort and relaxed lines in both residential and professional spaces.
