Description
Designed by Norwegian designer Andreas Bergsaker and produced by HAY, the Chisel 35 bar stool translates the formal vocabulary of the armchair of the same name into a tall seating format. Its name, which means "chisel" in English, pays tribute to this traditional carpentry tool, whose bevelled edges are echoed in the very design of the base, with its angled legs cut at sharp, precise angles. Designed to stand the test of time, Chisel 35 was born from a simple ambition: to create a solid wood seat with a bold silhouette, both contemporary and timeless. The round seat, understated and free of ornamentation, leaves full expression to the base, whose organic lines visually extend the gesture of the blade. Crafted in solid wood stained in a bold colour, the structure plays on the richness of the wood grain while giving it a distinctive tone, balancing artisanal rigour with a sober design. This interplay of material, at once assertive and warm, gives the stool a sculptural presence that asserts itself without ever overstating it. Chisel 35 naturally finds its place in both residential and professional settings, from a kitchen counter to the bar of a commercial space.
