Description
Inspired by a design from the early 1970s, Mattia reinterprets a product from the Minotti archives. The carefully profiled outer shell embraces the seat, opening like a corolla to accommodate the particularly original roller element of the backrest. The sculptural design solutions and the balance between the rigid structure and the suspended volume give rise to a series of seats whose beauty combines softness and comfort.
The Mattia collection consists of a three-seater sofa, an armchair and a swivel lounge chair, available in a version with a leather shell and fabric seat and backrest upholstery or with full fabric or leather upholstery.
Designed as the perfect elements to give the product momentum and lightness, the protruding steel legs feature a black nickel finish. The same finish is used for the swivel base of the lounge armchair.

Rodolfo DORDONI
Rodolfo Dordoni is a major figure in Italian design. After graduating in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1979, he set up Dordoni Architects Studio and went on to work with major furniture brands such as Foscarini, Cappellini and Artemide, where he was artistic director, as well as Flos, Moroso, Cassina and, more recently, Coédition. He has also worked closely with Minotti since 1997. Its timeless, modern designs combine aesthetics and comfort. The lines are sober, minimalist and extremely distinctive. The roots of the collaboration between Minotti and Rodolfo Dordoni are long-standing and solid, because the same values are shared by the company and the designer. The designer's inspirations and thoughts come to life, and particular attention is paid to the details, finishes and materials that reveal the unique character of Minotti collections.
