Produced by HAY, the Mimi armchair was conceived by British-Canadian designer Philippe Malouin as the natural complement to his collection of sofas of the same name. Its compact, sculptural silhouette features a generous, slightly curved seat, enveloped in a supple cover that drapes over the frame like a throw, blending precise stitching with a relaxed aesthetic. With a fully removable cover, Mimi was designed to last: its removable cover can be maintained, replaced, or renewed over time, in keeping with the brand’s commitment to longevity. Comfortable and versatile, this armchair naturally fits alongside a Mimi sofa to complete the set, just as it stands out on its own as a standalone lounge chair, bringing warmth and a welcoming feel to any interior. Crafted with a solid wood and plywood frame, padded with polyurethane foam and a filling that combines recycled fibers and granulated foam, it is available in a selection of high-end fabrics that complement the entire collection.
