Description

Blown SW5 is a poetic ceiling light resulting from the collaboration between designer Samuel Wilkinson and the And Tradition brand. Blown SW5 explores the reflections, distortions, and refractions of light through a patterned glass diffuser. The manufacture of Blown SW5 by And Tradition combines industrial processes with the craftsmanship of master glassmakers. The texture of the glass is created with computer-aided design to precisely control the size of each bubble. The shape is determined by moulding and then blown by hand. The sandblasted version gives a subtle and sophisticated light, while the transparent version transforms the space, filling it with its projected patterns.
